Dr. Niazi specializes in Cosmetic, Laser, Plastic and Hand Surgery. He has a ‘State of the Art’ facility in Elk Grove with the latest in Laser & Light technology to provide the best possible treatment for facial and body rejuvenation. Dr. Niazi is Board certified in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery and has trained in the United States, UK & Australia with the leading Cosmetic, Hand, Plastic and Microvascular Surgeons. Dr Niazi became an MD in 1983 and has over 23 years of experience in the field of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Niazi has been actively involved in medical leadership positions including being the Chairman of Department of Surgery as well as the Chairman of Quality & Medical Education at Methodist Hospital. He recently completed his term as the Vice Chief of Staff at Methodist Hospital. On December 9th 2011, he was elected by medical staff to the position of Chief of staff and he started his term as the Chief of Staff at Methodist Hospital on January 1st, 2012.
Dr. Niazi has an extensive publication list (over 150 articles, book chapters etc) and lectures nationally and internationally on plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland; He is certified in Plastic Surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons & the British Association of Plastic Surgeons, UK; He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons as a specialist in Plastic Surgery and also a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine. He is an associate member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons & an associate Editor of the Romanian Plastic Surgery Society. He is a member of the Millard Society and O'Brien Microsurgery society. Dr. Niazi moved to Elk Grove, CA in 2004 and has been in Private practice with privileges at Methodist & Mercy General Hospital. He has been the Chairman of Medical Education at Methodist Hospital since 2005. He continues as section editor of Body contouring for the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Niazi has been an Associate member of the American Academy of Cosmetic surgery since 2007 and he was voted in as Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery by the Board of Trustees of American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in January 2011.
Prior to this Dr. Niazi was in practice in New York with the New York Group for Plastic Surgery. He joined them in 1995 and held the position of Assistant Professor of Surgery and Otolaryngology at New York Medical College till 2005. He was responsible for training plastic surgery residents from the Mt. Sinai program in New York City, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, New Rochelle Hospital and Westchester County Medical Center. He was a member of the burn and hyperbaric oxygen team. He was Director of microvascular reconstructive surgery and Chief of Craniofacial surgery. He was Director of Quality Assurance and Director of Education and Research for the Plastic Surgery service at Westchester Medical Center.
